The Pet Rainbow Story
It all began when my little boy Lenny lovingly decorated a toilet tube as a coffin in honour of our goldfish ‘Whitey’ who had passed away. This moment sparked a flood of questions about death and how to best cope with loss, leaving me on a quest for answers and support.
I was stuck, unsure of how to approach the topic and what information would be age appropriate for my young son. I searched the internet for ‘pet home burial’ kits and advice on pet loss for children, hoping to find some guidance and was surprised at how poorly this subject was addressed.
